The 2005 12-U California State and National Champion Bakersfield Heat Baseball club will be hosting a baseball camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, April 30, at historic Sam Lynn Ball Park.
Several of the area’s top instructors will be at the event, including former Dodger pitcher and assistant coach, George Culver; Bakersfield Baseball Academy owner and former player, Bobby Maitia; and former double A player and current instructor, Danny Ruiz.
At the conclusion of the event, special guest and Super Bowl champ Joey Porter will be available for autographs.
Lunch will be provided. All proceeds will go towards the Cooperstown fund to help get the Heat to Cooperstown, NY for quite possibly the biggest baseball tournament in the country.
