Explore California's vineyards this month with a wine tour open to the general public.

Come join us April 22 as California State University, Northridge’s
Tseng College of Extended Learning returns to Paso Robles to visit two new
area wineries and enjoy lunch at a popular French restaurant to which two
additional local vintners will be bringing wines to accompany our meal.

We’ll cap our day with a side trip to a winery in lovely Edna Valley, to
which yet another local winemaker will be bringing samples. This allows
us tastings from six wineries!

This tour departs from the California State University, Bakersfield
campus. Details about the meeting location together with lodging Information will be sent to participants upon registration.

Currently, the day’s events include the following:
• We'll begin our trip with a visit Tablas Creek Vineyard, on Paso
Robles' west side and learn about winegrape grafting in addition to
tasting some superb wines. From there we'll return to downtown Paso Robles
for ...
 • Lunch at Paris Restaurant, where we'll be joined by Austin Hope and
Treana Wineries for a tasting with lunch. After lunch, we'll visit one of
the hottest new wineries on the Central Coast ...
 • L'Aventure Winery on Paso Robles' West Side. Then we'll head
for San Luis Obispo where we'll ...
 • Visit the Edna Valley and try wines from both Baileyana Winery and
Ortman Family Vineyards.

Price includes:
• A comfortable, air-conditioned tour bus with driver (no drinking and
driving worries!)
 • Paso Robles and Edna Valley wine history lecture from our instructor,
Mike Stepanovich.
 • Full lunch and all wine tastings. We also find that wineries often give
our group friendly prices on purchases.

Lodging:
We're planning a “no-host dinner” Friday with Mike and Carol Stepanovich
at a location TBD. At this point, we will most likely leave from the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Bakersfield, but I will confirm this with all of you upon registration. Many students may choose to stay the entire weekend rather than drive back home after the tour on Saturday evening. Info on the No Host Dinner will be sent to all registrants.

is a Cabernet," has been running since 1985. He is also a restaurant
