Greetings Southwest Voice readers & contributors!
Thank you to everyone who came out to our first Health & Family Fitness Day hosted by The Voices, NOR and Terrio-Therapy. Clear and sunny was the forecast and fun was in full supply as attendees enjoyed performances by Order of the Dragon and Jazzercise. Many left the event with goody bags full of giveaways and helpful information to get the family fit & healthy!
A little sunshine was also added to Doug Kessler's sunday evening courtesy of The Temptations. Doug won tickets from the latest Southwest Voice contest - which is surely not our last, so be sure to look out for our next contest in the upcoming issue of The Southwest Voice.
Speaking of upcoming issues, deadline time is here once again! Please submit any articles you would like considered for print by TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT!!!!!
Wondering what to write?
- Did you see a movie, play or concert that is review worthy?
- Is there an issue on the Southwest horizon that you think others should know about?
- Do you know an A+ educator or a little one that is the MVP of your eye? Nominate them for Educator or Youth Athlete of the Month!
And be sure to check out the most recent issue of The Southwest Voice.
- Southwest resident Lynnette Bailey wrote a heartfelt piece on former Miss Kern County Sarah Springer and the good word she is spreading about the needs of orphans in Ethiopia.
- Nina Ha had a blast to the past when she met her favorite 80's girl group The Bangles.
- And Ann Cierley shares more of her infinite wine wisdom with us. Get ready to toast!
