The Southwest Voice

Greetings Everyone! Hope you had a nice, relaxing Labor Day weekend!

With the onset of September comes a favorite time for many: Kern County Fair season! We are currently working on the issue of the Southwest Voice that hits streets September 17 - the opening day of the fair.

I am searching for a local act with a member (or members) from the Southwest to highlight on our cover!!!

Please flip through your mental rolodex and if you come across someone you know, please pass along their info (with their permission of course).  If it's a story that you are interested in writing yourself - even better! Just let me know! This Weekend
The Southwest Voice is sponsoring this year's Village Fest - formerly known as Brews in the Village. The event raises money for Children's Resource Advocate Endowment. Tomorrow, in the Southwest Voice, you can read more about all the exciting things they have to offer (live music, good food, great beer & wine), but I wanted to give you a heads up and tell you to GO GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! Tickets are $60 and with all the good times you'll have, not to mention the good cause its for, they're worth every penny. You can buy yours at Well Fargo, Lengthwise, or Frugatti's. And make sure you stop by the Southwest Voice booth right next to the Cantina Ville!!!! Hope to see you there!!!!
