Local Authors Rusty Shoop, Camille Gavin, Peg Connelly, Donnalee Huffman and more will be reading at the Beale in celebration of their 20th Anniversary.
Thursday, May l from 7-9, Rusty Shoop, long-time TV Broadcaster for 29 Eyewitness News, will read from his new book Blood Harvest (2008) and Camille Gavin, author of Dear Cora and Biddy Mason, A Place of Her Own, will read from one of her books. They will be joined by other local authors of fiction, poetry, non-fiction and science-fiction books who will share their work in the Beale Memorial Library Auditorium.
On Saturday, May 3, from 3-5pm, Peg Connelly, Linda Stacy, Maggie Caldwell Smith, Bertie Warren and Margie Custer will perform readings in the Arkelian Children's Room Story Pit.
And for another Evening with the Writers of Kern, on Wednesday, May 7th from 7-9 in the Beale Memorial Library Auditorium, Donnalee Huffman, local attorney turned published author, will be joined by other Writers of Kern members who will read from original works.
