The Nelson family of Bakersfield hope to captain a win against The Russ family of Cerritos on the nationally syndicated Family Feud, beginning on Thursday, April 3. The high-stakes game where contestants must guess the most popular answers to survey questions posed to 100 people in order to win big money airs Monday-Friday at 3:00 p.m. on Bakersfield KKFX-TV (Channel 24).
The Nelson Family – which includes team captain Sherri; son and niece Doug and Melanie, both students at Brigham Young University; nephew Matthew, a correctional officer; and sister Cindy, a finance officer – will be the ones to beat when they face off with The Russ Family in America’s favorite family game show.
“My family and I have always been big fans of Family Feud so we thought this would be lots of fun,” said Cindy. “If we win, Doug and Melanie will use their portions towards college and the rest of us are going to have some fun.”
“The Nelson family was lovely to have on the set,” said host John O’Hurley. “But they are tough competitors; they are definitely playing for keeps.”
Will Bakersfield’s Nelson Family win enough money for college expenses and to have some fun? We’re not saying, but viewers can find out by tuning in beginning Thursday, April 3.
