I wanted to bring some attention to Missoula Children's Theatre and say how thankful we are at Buena Vista Elementary to be a part of this program.  Many schools in our area have never heard of it before.  This program brings theatre to your school....in one week!  Two actors show up on a Mon. and have auditions for children of the school K-6th graders (we even had one of our 1st grade teachers, Mrs. Sepsey in the play this year!).  Around 60 children are chosen to be in the play, which is held on the Saturday of the same week.  They work with the kids everyday after school to learn their lines, songs and dances.  What I love about this program is that they bring all the props and costumes, set everything up and take it with them when they leave at the end of the week.  The children work very hard and are amazing in the end.  I'm all for keeping art  programs fin our schools. There is a cost for the program which our Parent Club/Principal pays for.  Check out their web site www.mctinc.org

Great article about MCT. Wish we could have seen the production -- loved the pictures!

I love it, too. I had no idea this existed. What an incredible idea. When other schools find out about this, it's going to get BIG.
