Covenant Community Services Inc. is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing hope and love to abused and neglected children. Imagine a six-year-old boy whose father beat him with garden hoses, burned him with cigarettes, locked him in a closet and denied him food — these are the children we serve.
Through no fault of their own, children are beaten, raped, neglected and as a result, are taken into protective custody. The majority of abused and neglected children enter the foster care system. Often, these children move from foster home to foster home and lose all contact with friends and family. The life of a foster child is one of instability, pain and hopelessness.
At Covenant we provide hope. One of the ways we bring hope to these children is through our annual Covenant Christmas Party. Each child we place in foster care, partner with a mentor, or house at our transitional living facility are showered with love, attention and gifts. Covenant foster families, donors, volunteers and mentors will also be invited to attend. We expect to have over 100 children attend our Christmas party and we are in need of unwrapped toys for the children. We are in the process of securing donated food and entertainment, but we have not received any donated toys. Consider donating toys for the children society often forgets — help make this Christmas full of joy for children who have lost so much.
Covenant Community Services is a qualified 501 (c) (3) and we would be blessed to have your donation. If you are interested in donating toys, gift cards, or making a cash donation toward the cost of the party, please contact Jessica at 326.8304. Visit: www.covenantcs.net for more information.
