The Mendiburu Magic Foundation, or MMF, is proud to announce the return of its beloved fundraising fiesta. Each year the Pyrenees Fiesta sells out and this year is showing signs of doing the same. Held at The Kern County Basque Club on Oct. 13, MMF’s Pyrenees Fiesta celebrates the spirit of Nancy Mendiburu, in which the organization was created in memory of. Nancy lost her 6-year battle with ovarian cancer on June 19, 2000.

“The Pyrenees-Fiesta is a unique blend of Mexican and Basque cultures and this County of Kern loves to have a great time. You will not be let down,” says founder and president Brian Mendiburu. “We have established this foundation to help people in need and impact lives. It is true, we might stumble at times, but the only way someone does not stumble is if they choose to stand still, we have done the opposite of that and will continue to work hard and always move forward, advancing great projects.”

All proceeds raised will go directly to the foundation’s dedication to serving the community by taking a stand in favor of ongoing medical research for cancer, helping children and families affected by any catastrophic or life threatening illness and creating community impact programs with an emphasis on positive youth development.

The foundation is ran by a Governing Board of Directors, six family members, Executive Advisory Council, 11 appointed community members, and a General Community Advisory Board, 45 members of our surrounding area from varied professional sectors including lawyers, doctors, dentists, business owners, corporate executives, non-profit executives, real estate professionals/developers, education principals, sports marketing agents, health-care professionals, teachers, social workers, financial planners, elected officials, and law enforcement.
