Help Johnny Fitzpatrick get a new kidney

Johnny Fitzpatrick is a Vietnam Vet who is needs of a kidney now after five years of dialysis. The Veterans Administration sent him to their transplant center in Iowa and they have told him he should get his kidney from them there in December. Johnny  has never been on transplant list, which was itself a stressful situation. So now he will go on priority in Iowa counting his dialysis time he has done! Both he and his wife caregiver Teresa, will have to spend three to four weeks in Iowa and then return every 90 days for the first year following the transplant surgery. They will have to feed themselves and provide for themselves while staying at a hotel during this time.

We're raising money for their family to cover the extra costs that will occur of having to leave a month, take off work and to also be able to have their 8 year old daughter taken care of and their home here in Bakersfield by a family member, whom also must take off work in Orange County to do be here for them. So to help offset all of these costs, this fundraiser is going to be a huge blessing and relief for them.

Johnny found out he had kidney failure one night in 2002 when his legs swelled and he went to a local emergency room. He had no idea he had hypertention and so was never treated and that killed his kidneys.
