Jesus Shack and local builders have been working with  Albertsons to help less fortunate children in our community get back to school with the essentials needed to help them achieve successfully. Along with these companies, the Bakersfield community has graciously donated backpacks and school supplies for over 2,000 children!  All children receiving school supplies have been pre-registered through the Bakersfield City School District or Koinonia Foster Care systems.
Jesus Shack is hosting a back to school party for these children and their families on  Aug. 18  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jesus Shack, 1326 30th St. The children will receive their school supplies and enjoy carnival games, jump houses, free hot dogs, and more!
These families are also receiving complimentary tickets to the Salvador Concert occurring at the Jesus Shack Outdoor theater on Saturday,  Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. The concert is also open to the community and tickets are $15 each. It will be an exciting evening!
For more information, call Jen Anderson at 324-0638.
