What is your little Picasso or O’Keefe doing this summer?

If you have not a clue but know they like to create, then “Experience Art,” the Bakersfield Museum of Art’s Art Camp is the perfect solution to summer boredom.

Under the direction of instructors, Brent Eviston and Vikki Cruz, 6-12 year olds will learn drawing, painting, sculpture and art history through imaginative projects in a creative environment.

Campers can choose one to four weeks of camp. Space is limited. Camp runs Monday through Friday, June 11 - August 3. The Art Camp student show is August 2.

For the younger set, “Side by Side,” a class for toddlers and their parents or caregivers, is June 4-8. Children age 3-5 will learn a variety of art projects that can easily be replicated at home. Chose either the 9-10 a.m. or 10:30-11:30 a.m. class.

High school art classes are also available throughout the summer. These classes are educational and exciting for young, creative minds.
