On Saturday, April 7, Calvary Chapel Westbrook held their seventh annual Easter outreach program at Patriots Park in Southwest Bakersfield.
This annual event featured an Easter egg and candy hunt; the Calvary Chapel Westbrook praise band; Reggie Rogers and his PowerJamz Christian rap music; and a special appearance by puppets Green-Go and Cid the child ID bear. Additionally, Solomon’s Porch donated a free digital child identification and photograph to children in attendance. The program concluded with a gift give-away for children who recovered specially marked plastic eggs. These gifts included two bicycles, an iPod, and numerous gift certificates.
The weather was fantastic, and a great time was had by all.
Mike Osthimer is Calvary Chapel’s senior pastor and Kelli Espiritu is the director of the Children’s Ministry program.
