My sons don't ride ATV's but I have nephews who do. One of his friends broke his leg while riding but I don't know if it was due to his level of experience or a lack of parental supervision or a mechanical problem. I do know that it's a popular sport in town..

Yes, my cousins are into that too. But they've also broken bones –– one his leg and another her hand. But I don't know if they were wearing the proper safety equipment. I asked this question because a little girl died last week in a residential neighborhood on an ATV –– she wasn't wearing a helmet or anything.
