0 responses 0 comments Jacob Whitehead, who prefers Jake, recently turned 18 and achieved the level of dive master, making him one of the youngest PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified dive masters in Bakersfield –– WOW!
Jake has spent the last year working on obtaining his dive master status and has over 80 dives under his belt, including dives in Monterey, the Channel Islands, Redondo Beach, Catalina and offshore oil platforms.
His maximum dive depth was 126’ on Aug. 16, 2006 in Ventura on the Offshore Platform Grace. Jake will be certified as an assistant instructor in February of 2007. He currently works at his family’s scuba shop, Captain Frog Scuba, in Bakersfield.
