I enjoy reading your paper, particularly about Dec. 7. We always put our flag out on that day.
The number of adults who don’t know its significance is surprising. Of course, I am 84. My dad was aboard the Arizona in WWI.
To make the day more important, after reading the “Dear Dad, do you remember?” Pearl Harbor tribute in your paper and cutting it out for my daughter, we saw “The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell” that night on the Turner Classic Movies channel. In 1925, General Billy Mitchell considered the Army and Navy’s failure to begin seriously building up the Air Force akin to treason. He predicted a situation similar to the bombing of Pearl Harbor, which occurred some two decades later.
Keep up the good work.
Patricia L. Reed
P.S. I think your paper would be easier to read if you rolled it.
