Hi! I am trying to find a place where I can buy my dear aunt a gift certificate for a gardening class in Bakersfield. I am in Phoenix, and am not having any luck finding such a class.
Thanks so much,
Melissa Allen

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for your interest in classes.
We suggest you try Robby’s Nursery and Landscape Service at 13129 Hageman Road, phone 588-0859.
Robby’s offers gardening classes throughout the year. While the majority of classes are free of charge, Robby’s is offering a Bonsai class May 19 and 20 of 2007 with a $50 charge. Due to the popularity of the class, participants are asked to sign up in advance. Participants will take home a completed Bonsai tree.
For something more intense, John Karlik will be teaching a level one master gardener class and a level three master gardener class that begin in late August and extend into December 2007. Each class will meet one night per week, three hours per night, for 16 weeks (a total of 48 hours of instruction). The classes are sponsored by the University of California Cooperative Extension at the extension office, 1031 S. Mount Vernon Ave. For more information or to reserve a spot in the class, call Karlik at 868-6220 or e-mail him at: jfkarlik@ucdavis.edu
You may also try Bakersfield College at 395-4011.
