Classroom dedication transfers to new dental practice

0 responses 0 comments When exceptional youth find their way in to a teacher’s classroom, they leave an impression on the teacher’s heart and soul that is long lasting and memorable.
As a student of mine at Highland High School, Kurt Sturz had ambition, tenacity, and always sought solutions for issues — be they computer-related, relationship problems, or planning for the future. He sought appropriate counsel whenever he was perplexed or needed more perspective or input.
Did I think years ago that Sturz was destined to be a pediatric dentist? No, not necessarily. What I did know was that he was a born entrepreneur. He listened, applied his learning, and prepared a plan to meet his goals with much forethought and purpose. To exemplify these attributes at age 16 and 17 is remarkable.
Now, instead of working for someone else, Sturz has taken an entrepreneurial route and is starting his own pediatric dental practice here in Southwest Bakersfield. Throughout the process he has taken copious notes, and experienced many frustrations and roadblocks in the process of opening his practice this past September.
Sturz is one who acknowledges and honors those who assist him, rarely — if ever — taking credit for his accomplishments. He is a dedicated and honest man of talent.
With his dental skills, talent for business, and excellent rapport with all ages, Sturz will give to the Bakersfield community the gift of his training.
