0 responses 0 comments Mary Singletary is a wonderful teacher. She has been teaching for 12 years, currently as a second-grade teacher at Buena Vista School in Southwest Bakersfield.
Mary is very devoted to teaching and to her students. She will tell you that teaching basic skills is only one piece of the puzzle. The other big piece is motivating children to read.
Because she loves to read, Mary spends a lot of time fostering the love of reading in her classroom. Mary collects various books, whether new or vintage, and happily shares them with her class. Mary is also a very creative person, so she also allows the kids to be creative in everything they do.
As one student put it, “Ms. Singletary is a cool teacher!”
