Hello. I am a civil engineer in Bakersfield and am proud to say that I was born and raised here. As much as some decry this county as a wasteland devoid of the civilization found to the south – I find that there is tremendous beauty here. People here are different than the rest of California and take a peculiar pride in their uniqueness. What can I say; I love the Golden Empire.
