I'm a writer recently from the Surf's Up beaches of SoCal who feels like I'm living back in Texas, hearing all those Texas and Oklahoma accents in Bakersfield. .What's great about Bakersfield (I know, I know, I haven't been here for the summers yet) is living so close to Tehachapi and the Tejon Ranch and eating lemon ice cream with hot fudge sauce at the counter at Dewars!
