About NATALIE
My name is Natalie Erlendson and I am the editor of The Southwest Voice. While I was not born in Bakersfield, it is the place I have always called home. I graduated from Foothill HIgh School in 2001 - where I was active in Honors, cheerleading, Ford Dimension, journalism and yearbook. From there, I spent three years at UCLA studying communications...I know this is dangerous to say in a 'SC town - but GO BRUINS!!!!! These days, while I'm not at work, I'm "raising" my two adorable greyhounds Nikko and Sheena. I also enjoy attending local music shows (usually at Fishlips), the movies (especially FLICS) and spending time with my friends and family. As the new editor of the Southwest Voice, I am excited to be part of a ground-breaking trend in writing: citizen journalism. I believe everyone has a story to tell - you just read mine - and I can't wait to hear yours!
