Girl Scouts-Joshua Tree Council has been serving Kern County for 59 years. Each year, Joshua Tree Council serves thousands of girls and helps them strive to become courageous, confident and character-driven women of society. While Girl Scouts has been involved in the Southwest community for many years, many people are unaware of the depth and variety of activities and programs that Girl Scouts are involved in.Girl Scouts has created a youth reading program, “The Chronicles of Narnia Book Club.” Girls, boys and adults of all ages are invited to attend and enjoy the fun and games of the book club events. Currently the book club is reading “The Magicians Nephew,” and it’s not too late to join.Girl Scouts offers a variety of summer programs to keep girls learning, growing and having fun.
