The 2008 Bakersfield Southwest 12U All-Stars took 1st place at The 2nd Annual Battle at the Beach baseball tournament in Oxnard, CA on June 21st & 22nd. This is the first tournament played by the All-Stars as they prepare for their journey to the Pony World Series. They placed 1st among four other So Cal based club and All-Star teams.
The results of each game are as follows:
- Game 1 vs. Oxnard Sharks - Lost 11-2
- Game 2 vs. Van Nuys Tigers - Won 7-1
- Game 3 vs. Oxnard Sharks - Won 3-0
- Championship Game vs. Moorpark All-Stars - Won 12-2
The Bakersfield 12U All-Stars are managed by Steve Morrison and coached by Randy Tippitt and John Cooney. The team roster includes: Drew Allen, Nolan Cooney, Junior Felix, Cameron Moore, Alex Noriega, Nick Parke, Mason Perryman, Chris Sakowski, Zac Sullivan, Zach Tanner, Carver Tippitt, Allan Winans.
