The Stockdale High School Choirs put on a fabulous holiday dinner concert on Dec. 16. It was lots of fun and they sang beautifully. The evening started with a great meal served by the choir members under the direction of Susan Trapasso. As family and friends were eating, different small ensembles strolled through the room caroling. There was even a string ensemble providing mood music as guests arrived! Choir accompanist Joyce King started the concert with a lovely rendition of “O Holy Night.” The variety of songs was most enjoyable. Each choir group sang such tunes as: “Jamaican Noel,” “Eight Nights Eight Lights,” “Coventry Carol,” “La Marche de Rois,” “African Celebration,” “Veni,” “Veni Emanuel” and “Silent Night.” At one point, while singing, “Grandma got run over by a Reindeer,” Santa arrived with grandma in hot pursuit!
