This project is all about making a difference in our community as we help less fortunate children get back to school with the essentials needed to help them succeed. All children who are signed up to receive backpacks and school supplies have been pre-approved through the Bakersfield City School District as “at-risk.” What can you do? Be a part of this exciting project by donating backpacks and school supplies, including notebooks, folders, crayons, plastic scissors, pencils, erasers, rulers and calculators. Donations can be dropped off at any Bakersfield Albertsons from now to Aug. 11. If it is more convenient, a financial donation for this project can be made to Jesus Shack and mailed to: 1326 30th St., Bakersfield, CA 93301.
