Anne Marie Rose, Community Contributor Is your Southwest student on track for admission to the University of California or the California State University campuses? Kern Community Foundation and eCollege Connect, an intersegmental precollege program, will sponsor the second in a series of local preapplication workshops for juniors and seniors. On Tuesday, July 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., representatives from the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) will guide students and parents through the preapplication process. The two sessions will focus on 1) the application process by assessing the completion of the UC/CSU A-G Subject Requirements for admission; and 2) the required “Personal Statement” essay for admission to the University of California campuses.
