The coaches have spoken, the player names are in, the deadline has passed! Now it is time to set the teams. Looks like we will have the full 36 players, 18 per team. This is the max we can have so the players will get in the games! Still looking for sponsors! Talked to two league winning coaches today and both accepted the offer to coach the All-Stars. Thanks guys for stepping up. More later,,,,,

Well Vera,The 30% of owners in the country who licsence their pets are the responsible owners. Those are the people who will be paying for all this legislation. They are the only ones that can be found. Not the guy on the corner who doesn't license ,do health checks or any thing else, just breeds & sells. We are the ones who rescue our own breeds that some idiot has brought into the world with no contracts or regard for the animal. We see those animals ,we get it.You seem to think you are the only one who has a heart but it kills us to see the atrocities too. My club has rescued dogs who had no chance of living a healthy life because of abuse just so they could pass in loving arms. We also see that the idiots will still be around when those of us who care have been forced to give up our hobbies & passions.

The reason AKC did not work on AB1634 is because You can not compromise bad legislation

Get real Animal rightists

If any of these proposals pass in this state or county, animal control is in for a rude awakening. If a person can't afford to alter their pet & now get fined for owning it,where do you think it will end up? Animal Control!!! The shelters will be overflowing.

As for paying taxes on raising puppies, talk to a CPA about that. If you do not show a profit after I belive it is 3 or 4 years,it is considered a hobby & can not be on your taxes. Now since a responsible breeder does not bree for the money & usually looses a few thousand dollars, you can't declare it on your taxes.

Also, stastics show that 70% of animals euthanized in shelters are feral cats.Hmm, how do you propose to stop that?

It is a well known fact that the animal rights agenda believes it is cruel to own & animal & would kinder if they were all dead. They doing a good job of doing it too

I am very afraid of dogs. Still to this day I cannot be around them. One day when I was on a field trip in the 3rd grade at my private school, we went on a walk to the local post office and I saw a dog. I was so scared I wet my pants in front of everyone. I made such a big scene that their was a dog in front of me that everyone saw what I had done. Good thing I moved. I probably would have never heard the end of that one.

All-Star Event is coming along nicely. Have an outstanding choice confirm she will attend to throw out first ball, a very deserving choice. Had first RSVP of one of our City Leaders that will attend. Coaches are starting to send in names of the senior players. Letters to all 30 County High Schools have gone out as have letters to Colleges Coaches and all our local politicians. Well that's my upcoming week, hope it's a good one...

EXACTLY WHAT DO BIG SISTERS "TEACH" YOU?!!?

ALOT OF THE TIME HAVING A BIG SISTER WAS GREAT...OKAY, OKAY I WOULDN'T SAY ALOT OF THE TIME. AT LEAST NOT UNTIL WE GOT OLDER AND MOM LET ME HANG OUT WITH HER AND HER FRIENDS SO THAT I COULD "KEEP AN EYE" ON HER! LIFE SEEMS TO BE ONE BIG CIRCLE AND PAYBACK IS GREAT! WELL, I GUESS I SHOULD START FROM THE BEGINNING...THERE WAS THIS BOY - WHO SAW THAT COMING?!!? HE WAS OUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR AND WE BOTH HAPPENED TO HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM. MY SISTER, NOELLE, IS TWO YEARS OLDER THAN ME AND AT THE TIME CONSIDERED ME A LITTLE PEST I'M SURE. TO ME, SHE WAS THE OLDER MORE POPULAR, CONFIDENT ONE. I BELIEVE AT THE TIME SHE WAS 13 AND I WAS 11, DIFFICULT AGES TO BE FOR ANY GIRL! A GROUP OF US WOULD ALL HANG OUT AFTER SCHOOL, ALL THE GIRLS IN MY FRONT YARD ON ONE SIDE OF THE FENCE AND "THE GUY" AND HIS BUDDIES IN HIS FRONT YARD ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE. SOUNDS PRETTY INNOCENT, RIGHT? WELL THAT WAS UNTIL NOELLE, BEING THE CARING BIG SISTER THAT SHE WAS DECIDED TO PANTS ME IN FRONT OF EVERYONE! YEP, YOU GOT IT RIGHT...SHE PULLED MY PANTS DOWN TO MY ANKLES FOR ALL TO SEE!!! AS IF AT AGE 11 YOU DON'T FEEL AWKWARD ENOUGH AROUND BOYS ALREADY- OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER! SO EVERYONE GOT A BIG LAUGH OUT OF IT, EVERYONE BUT ME OF COURSE! I RAN INSIDE THE HOUSE CRYING (WITH MY PANTS STILL DOWN I MIGHT ADD!) WHICH ONLY MADE ME LOOK LIKE A CRYBABY AND ADDED TO MY HUMILIATION! AND I BELIEVE THE NEXT DAY MY SISTER ALSO GOT A KISS FROM THE BOY NEXT DOOR!! THE ONLY THING THAT MADE ME FEEL ANY BETTER WAS CONVINCING MYSELF SHE ONLY DID IT OUT OF JEALOUSY...IT TOOK ALOT OF CONVINCING! ALL IN ALL, I'M SURE I LEARNED SOME LESSON FROM THAT SITUATION, I'M JUST NOT SURE WHAT IT IS YET AND THAT WAS ALMOST 19 YEARS AGO! I CAN NOTE THAT TODAY HER AND I ARE GREAT FRIENDS AND I STILL ADMIRE HER AS MUCH AS I DID BACK THEN. BUT, DO YOU THINK PLACING 13 YEARS BETWEEN MY DAUGHTERS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THAT AWFUL DAY BACK WHEN I WAS 11? JUST A THOUGHT...
